PS Audio Awards

By anyone's account, the year 2000 belonged to the PS Audio Power Plants.

Never in the 30 year history of the company have we been so honored by the press for introducing to the Audio and Video world what has turned out to be an entirely new category of product: the AC power regenerator.

Our sincere thanks to all the members of the press who have added Power Plants to their reference systems, who have honored us with their praise and continued support.

And thanks in particular to our customers and friends. For it without your support, none of this would have ever happened.

Stereophile Product Of the Year 2000, Accessory.

From the beginning, Stereophile reviewers have quickly understood the magnitude of improvement that an AC regenerator can bring.

From Robert Deutsch's first review of the P300, to his follow up of MultiWave, to John Atkinson's wonderful summary of the P300's benefits to his system and to Stereophile recordings, to being a part of nearly every reviewer's reference system, we are truly honored to receive the Product of The Year award for an accessory.

While we might argue that the Power Plant series of AC regenerators are more than an accessory (we believe them to represent an entirely new category of device as critical to the system's performance as any component), in fact, we are delighted to receive this award and could not be prouder.

Our thanks to the entire Power Plant design team at PS Audio, including Doug Goldberg, Bob Stadtherr, Rick Cullen and the Grand Poobah himself, Paul.

Editors' Choice P300

Once the Audiophiles caught on to the benefits of AC power regeneration, it wasn't long before the Videophiles caught wind of it as well.

It took even less time for people to realize that perfectly regenerated AC power was as important to video as it was to audio.

While our competitors were trying to catch up with improvements to their filtration systems, Power Plants were taking the lead as more and more people figured out that there's simply no way to filter or add energy back into the AC waveform and have results commensurate with an AC regenerator.

Our thanks to Bob Harley, Mark Fisher and the entire team at the Perfect Vision magazine for this honor.

Editors' Choice P600

While the P300 was busy shaking up the AV world with its breakthrough technological advances, along came the mighty P600 Power Plant.

Easily able to power over three times the wattage as a P300, the P600 came on to the scene and continued the forward energy of the Power Plant technology.

At about the same time as the P600's introduction, we also introduced MultiWave to the world. MultiWave was the second major innovation delivered to the Audio and Videophiles alike. Here we demonstrated another advantage to regenerating the AC waveform, the ability to produce waveforms better suited to powering our equipment than sine waves.

Our thanks to Tom Norton, John Atkinson, and the entire team at Stereophile's Guide to Home Theater for this prestigious award.

Innovation in Design P300 and P600

Soundstage! is one of the original "WebZines" and Doug Blackburn and crew have been supporters and early recognizers of Power Plant technology from the beginning.

Our sincere thanks for their recognition of the PS Audio breakthrough innovation called the Power Plant and Tom Lyle's great review of the P600.

Webzines are a part of the new generation of electronic media that allow us to receive news and features on a nearly instantaneous basis. These electronic media have furthered the goals of all Audio and Videophiles by providing timely reviews and nearly instant reporting of audio and video events.

PS Audio is proud to be recognized as SoundStage's! Reviewers' Choice for Innovation in Design, and we thank them for their support of audio.
