  Who We AreFounded in 1974, PS Audio was created with but one goal in mind: to bring the high prices of High End audio into the realm of common sense - without sacrificing sonics or quality.PS Audio was the brainchild of audio designers Paul McGowan (the P) and Stan Warren (the S). PS soon became known as a company that was passionate in its quest for better sound, and was honored by the Audiophile press as 'The poor man's Audio Research' and further honored by loyal customers who supported the company by purchasing thousands of PS Audio amps, preamps, and digital products.  Stan Warren left the company in the early 1980's to form Superphon (still recognized as having created some of the best sounding affordable audio equipment ever made), and his place as audio designer and co-owner was taken over by Dr. Bob Odell, a gifted audio designer himself, having created some of the finest Harmon Kardon designs (back when they made Audiophile equipment). McGowan left the company in 1990 to join the legendary Arnie Nudell of Infinity systems in building High End loudspeakers with Genesis Technologies.'I was skeptical at first when he talked about a unit that produced it's own power....after hooking it up, I could not believe the difference the it made to the system. We plugged the Conrad Johnson preamp and my Audio Research CD-2 into the P300. As the music played, I sat in amazement.' GA.  Sadly, in early 1998, PS Audio Inc. ceased operations due to financial problems. Shortly thereafter, Paul McGowan bought back the name 'PS Audio', and has been the principal designer, and imagineer for new products.In January of 1999, Paul left Genesis Technologies to devote full time to PS Audio and the pursuit of better sound at affordable prices. In the first quarter of 2000, the new PS Audio International grew at such a rapid rate that we added our newest member to the team, Peter Rudy, as President of the corporation. PS Audio's original mission statement, will be maintained by creating products that start under $1,000.
